Biography

Mr. Rodolfo Y. Tarlit is an accomplished professional with close to 45 years of dedicated service to librarianship. He is a teacher, library practitioner, professional and civic leader with unquestionable competence and integrity. He has held professional librarian positions for more than 40 years at the University of the Philippines (UP) Library capping it with being the University Librarian from 2011 to 2014. Considered a guru in cataloging and organization of library resources, he has contributed significantly in library and information science education. He has imparted his knowledge and expertise in both the undergraduate and graduate levels by being a Senior Lecturer at the UP School of Library and Information Studies (SLIS), a Reviewer for the Librarians Licensure Examination (LLE) and a Professorial Lecturer in two other library schools. Though he has retired in 2011, he continues to serve as Professorial Lecturer at UP SLIS.
