Biography

Asst. Prof. Maria Maura "Em" Tinao has been with the University of the Philippines since 1993. She led the Management Information Systems Department at the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority for six years. Following nearly a decade as a senior lecturer in the School of Library and Information Studies (SLIS) at UP Diliman, she joined the Faculty of Information and Communication Studies at the University of the Philippines Open University for two years. She has now returned to SLIS as a full-time faculty member.
