Biography

Janny teaches indexing, abstracting and ICT courses on programming, database structures and web development applications in LIS. Among the experts in information analysis, web development, and database design, he heads several ICT development projects for various organizations in the country. Before joining the UPSLIS, he was with the Rizal Library of the Ateneo de Manila University as indexer of newspaper and periodical articles. For this, he was able to develop an ocr-enhanced information retrieval tool for these materials.
