Ramos, Alana
Biography
Ms. Alana Gorospe Ramos is Senior Lecturer at the School of Library and Information Studies since 2009. Ms. Ramos’ work is at the nexus of the social sciences and technology. She spent ten years at the Department of Information and Communications Technology as Chief for ICT Plans and Policy Monitoring and Evaluation. Ms. Ramos has led various research and survey projects in support of the national ICT policy agenda including the first-ever National ICT Household Survey and the first nationally-implemented Women and ICT Development Survey.
Research Interest
Measuring social impact of ICTs, Community-driven and people-centered ICT for development approaches, Community engagement strategies for disaster management/early warning systems and risk communications, Digital Literacy, and Knowledge Management
