The UP School of Library and Information Studies (UP SLIS), in partnership with the UP Diliman Gender Office (UPDGO), proudly takes part in SALIKSIKASARIAN 2026: 1st GAD Student Conference in UP Diliman, happening on October 23–24, 2026, at Bocobo Hall, UP Diliman.
As part of the conference, Dr. Benedict Olgado, Chair of the UP SLIS Gender and Development (GAD) Committee, serves as a Plenary Speaker with his presentation, “Dismantling What We Cannot Live Within, Building What We Cannot Live Without: Knowledge Infrastructures for Gender-Centered Research.”
Meanwhile, Asst. Prof. Dridge Paul Reyes, UP SLIS GAD Committee Member, serves on the conference's Scientific Committee and as Session Chair for the Queer Studies Panel.
Through this partnership and participation, UP SLIS reaffirms its commitment to advancing gender-responsive scholarship, inclusive knowledge production, and critical conversations on gender, sexuality, and social justice.
