<p>The Library and Information Science Congress is an annual event that focuses on the current issues of libraries and librarianship as it affects LIS students and professionals. It is also a place for them to network and share their ideas for the betterment of the profession.</p>
<p>This year's LIS Congress, we shall focus on the role of Information Age phenomena and its digital innovations in today's libraries. With this year's theme, LIB RECONNECT: From Shelf to Web, we've invited the most prominent LIS professionals to discuss the importance and roles of libraries in the Information and Digital Age, innovations in the field of librarianship to cope with the digital age, and how libraries make use of social media to their advantage. This event will be held on February 09, 2015 at the 5th Floor of Rizal Library, Ateneo de Manila University.</p>
