The University of the Philippines School of Library and Information Studies (UP SLIS) will be hosting a Capacity Building Seminar-Workshop for LIS Educators on December 11-13, 2024. Join us to enhance your expertise and stay at the forefront of the dynamic field of Library and Information Science.
Led by selected UP SLIS faculty, this workshop will cover crucial topics, including LIS pedagogy, artificial intelligence, data science, information literacy, information ethics, and archives and records management. This is a hybrid program: onsite sessions will be held at Room 203, Bonifacio Hall, University of the Philippines Diliman, Quezon City, while online sessions will be via Zoom.
Supported by a grant from the Office of Extension Coordination, Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research and Development, UP Diliman, the seminar-workshop is free for both online and onsite participants. Onsite participants will also enjoy complimentary 3D/2N accommodation.
Space is limited, so register early! Pre-registration is required but does not guarantee admission—confirmation emails will be sent to selected participants. We can accommodate only the first 25 onsite and 25 online participants, with a limit of one participant per LIS school.
