UPSLIS' Bachelor of Library and Information Science (BLIS) program has been certified by the ASEAN University Network - Quality Assurance (AUN-QA) to be Adequate as Expected!
Our BLIS program is the first and currently only AUN-QA certified LIS program in the Philippines. This certification demonstrates SLIS continuing commitment to improve our curriculum and pedagogy in line with international quality standards for the benefit of the Filipino information professions.
The assessment particularly highlighted SLIS strengths in Teaching and Learning Approach, Academic Staff, and Student Support Services. This demonstrates our dedication to providing a world-class education and supportive learning environment to our students despite not having access to our own building which has been under construction for the past six years.
We thank the SLIS QA office under Asst. Prof. Yhna Therese P. Santos for their work to facilitate the assessment, as well as our alumni and their employers for their valuable insights during the assessment. We are also grateful to our students, faculty, REPS, administrators, and staff for their support during the assessment.
