UP SLIS held its Recognition Rites for Class Ikarahay last July 7, 2025. The ceremony honoured the 48 graduates of Academic Year 2024–2025, composed of 32 BLIS students—including 5 summa cum laude, 11 magna cum laude, and 3 cum laude awardees—along with 5 MARM and 11 MLIS graduates.

Hon. Lourdes T. David, Member of the Philippine Regulatory Board for Librarians, urged the graduates to use their degrees to provide information services for all. She underscored the importance of serving with humility, regardless of who the client may be. She also highlighted the vital role of public and school libraries in supporting education, and expressed her hope that the new graduates will inspire librarians who have grown weary and forgotten how to serve.
