Congratulations to our Dean Rhea Rowena U. Apolinario for being recognised by the Association of Special Libraries of the Philippines, Inc. (ASLP) with the ASLP Citation Award (Category B) for her "exceptional support and encouragement for special librarianship." The award recognises Dean Apolinario's many contributions to the profession including "her role as a panel member in the revision of standards for special libraries in the Philippines, her dedication to teaching Special Librarianship courses in SLIS, her shared expertise as speaker and resource person in ASLP conferences and fora, and her service as a reviewer in the 2024 ASLP National Congress."
Dean Apolinario's award is a shining example of SLIS' commitment to UP's mandate as the National University to "lead in setting academic standards and initiating innovations in teaching, research, and faculty development."
